Misfits

Here they are, the poor summer projects that didn't get any attention. Constructed with tender loving care, but in the end something is just a bit off. I don't have the heart to part with them...yet. But I fear their home in my closet is only temporary.

Maybe by next spring I'll be excited at the possiblities these misfits have to offer!

Happy Sewing!

When I switch my closet from spring/summer to winter/fall at the beginning of October, there will be quite a few things I've sewn that are going to Goodwill. So I hear ya about misfits.

Sunday evening I started switching my spring/summer wardrobe to my second closet. As I worked through the various garments types, I found myself making similar observations. But it's so hard to depart with my sewn misfits. But as Lindsay T stated, I'll eventually give them to Goodwill. The good news is most of the fall/winter wardrobe still feels new.

Do keep them at least until spring and give them another try. I'm working on switching my wardrobe over to fall/winter and some of last year's misfits that weren't working this year are in the donation bags.

The last dress looks great on you. Worth fixing the hem for. And I quite like the black and white top. I would go for black heels and a long necklace.
